The Construction Regulations let one company be a subcontractor on one site and the principal contractor on another. Every SafetyQuest file records which one you are, and the content follows.
Working under a principal contractor
Your file covers what you own: your people, your appointments, your method statements and risk assessments. Site-wide arrangements such as assembly points and the emergency plan defer to the principal contractor's plan, the way Construction Regulation 7(3) expects.
